Faithful Faculty: Vocational Flourishing in Christian Higher Education
BY DONNY R. MATHIS (EDITOR), JACOB SHATZER (EDITOR)
Mission-driven institutions are navigating growing external pressures that challenge their identity and long-term viability. Many have recognized that a key to thriving in this environment lies in recruiting, developing, and supporting faculty who are not only experts in their disciplines but also deeply committed to the institution’s mission. Such a resource can provide a common language, cultivate a deeper sense of calling, and help set a trajectory for growth and integration.
DONNY R. MATHIS (PhD, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary) is professor of Christian studies, director of the Center for Faculty Excellence, and dean of faculty development at North Greenville University.
